At Pontius Tax Law, PLLC we believe it’s important to support and to be involved in our community. A community is stronger when we have one another to lean on. That is why John Pontius has donated to a handful of schools and organizations that have positively impacted his life. He hopes to help make a difference in the lives of those who attend these institutions after he did and to make their experiences even better than his own positive experience.
The Pontius Tax group is excited to participate in the annual Diversity in Tax Law Panel on April 15th, 2022, from 12:30 pm-1:30 pm. We want to invite anyone interested in joining to create a free profile on the MSBA website to participate. The MSBA Taxation Section Diversity and Inclusion Committee will be featuring a wide range of speakers. This will be a virtual experience, making it easy to partake from anywhere!
Thank you to those of you who joined Attorney John Pontius at the Diversity in Tax Law webinar on Thursday, April 15th from 12:30pm to 1:30pm. This webinar was free to Maryland State Bar Association (MSBA) members and non-MSBA members. To learn more visit the webinar page.
Mr. Pontius began practicing law in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps in Germany and was deployed to Iraq. Due to this, he believes Veterans are owed a huge debt for the service they do for our country. We are looking to hear from Veterans, or individuals who are close with a veteran, about why they deserve to be recognized for their service. You can learn more about this $1,000 scholarship opportunity here.
We are excited to announce that we will be hosting the Local Veteran Nomination to recognize those who have risked their lives to serve this country. If you or a loved one have served this country, please take the time to fill out our nomination form for a chance to win a $100 Visa gift card and be recognized as a small thank you.
